EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

• Athletics Afterschool - Students compete city-wide in basketball, volleyball, and track.  Students also participate in martial arts, yoga, dance and step.
• Arts Afterschool - Afterschool arts activities include drawing, painting, comics, arts and crafts, dance and theatre.
• Academic Intervention Afterschool - Students needing extra help receive small group instruction after school targeted at their individual areas of need.
• Saturday SHINE Academy - Bi-weekly Saturday classes give students extra support in passing state assessments in reading, writing and math.
• Summer SHINE Academy - Students "at risk" of not meeting standards receive intensive, small group instruction over the summer on core skills.
• Speech and Debate Team - Award-winning Speech and Debate Team competes with the best schools throughout New York City.
• Monthly Family Resource Nights - We provide our families resources for supporting students' academic, social and emotional needs
• Theatre Performances & Art Galleries - All students participate in annual theatre performances and/or present their work in art gallery showings each year.
• Student Council - Student government makes decisions affecting issues including student discipline, events programming, fundraising and school uniforms.
