ANNUAL EVENTS
- Back to School Barbecue: held before school starts to bring students and their families and teachers together
- Open House: held in September to allow parents to visit classrooms, connect with teachers, and review student work
- ISTEP Celebratory Breakfast: held in October to recognize students who achieved at high levels on state assessment
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
- Purple Elephant Club: led by art teacher Renae Ricks-Miller, helps beautify our campus with creative art projects
- Crochet Club: led by Kindergarten teacher Lisa Rusen, teaches students art of crocheting while reviewing math concepts
- Sports Clubs A and B: led by Rob and Amy Feaster, teaches students good sportsmanship through the fundamentals of basketball and other sports
PARTNERSHIPS
- South Shore Arts: artist-in-residence program allows visiting artist to work with students at least once per week
- East Chicago Boys and Girls Club: encourages participation in Rites of Passage program
- 21st Century Scholars Program: opportunity for students to earn a scholarship to cover the entire cost of college
