What do you love about your job?
I love coming to work every day knowing that I am making a difference in the lives of children.  I love knowing that I can set these children on a better and brighter path towards their future as I help them close the achievement gap.  Really, it is the children who are closing the gap, but I get to help facilitate that every day to the best of my ability.  I can show these children what it means to never give up on themselves as I show them that I will never give up on them as learners or myself as their teacher.
How are TFA and LHA aligned?
TFA and LHA align in many ways.  Both are extremely passionate about closing the achievement gap in our country.  TFA and Lighthouse both rely heavily on data to help drive instruction.  This takes any guess-work out of where the students are academically.   Both believe that all children can and will learn, and it is up to the teacher to find creative and innovative ways to reach every learner.
Why do you teach and lead at Lighthouse Academies?
I teach and lead at Lighthouse Academies because I believe in our students and I want to be a part of transforming their lives through education.
