We develop our teachers through Lighthouse Academies University (LHA U), which provides ongoing, high quality professional development opportunities, including:
- 20 professional development days, which includes:
- Four-Day LHA U summer session in July
- Professional Development Institute before school starts
- School, Regional, and/or Network-based professional development days throughout the year
- Individualized professional development based on an individualized plan and LHA U course offerings through webinars, video conferences, learning communities, learning modules, and/or in-person coursework
- Collaborative planning time with colleagues at the school, regional, and network levels
- Individual coaching from Principal and the Director of Instruction

To provide school-wide ongoing professional development, every school creates a Yearlong Professional Development Plan aligned with the schools’ goals. (View a sample Yearlong Professional Development Plan)
