REPRESENTATIVE JASON FIELDS JOINS NORTH POINT LIGHTHOUSE CHARTER SCHOOL BOARD

Lighthouse Academies of Wisconsin, Inc. is pleased to announce that State Representative Jason Fields has joined the Board of Directors.  The Board governs the new North Point Lighthouse Charter School that is set to open on August 20, 2012 with grades K4 – 4th at 4200 West Douglas Avenue.

Representative Fields is currently in his fourth term in the State Assembly.  He is the Midwest Regional Director for The National Technology Adoption Advisory Council (NTAAC). NTAAC was established by One Economy Corporation with a mission to convene, support and empower local and state governments in their efforts to leverage broadband to improve their communities and the lives of their constituents. He is a member of the Governor’s Read to Lead Task Force and the Council on Financial Literacy.  He recently announced the successful passage of two bills that he authored that address key issues in youth safety, and education, including tightening requirements of the Parental Choice Program.  He feels strongly that improving quality should be the focus of the education reform efforts.

Representative Fields will be on site at the North Point Enrollment Fair on May 26 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the school site (4200 W. Douglas Avenue).  The enrollment fair will be a fun event for all interested families to enroll their child.  There will be opportunities to meet the principal and the teachers.  Special guest V100’s Bailey Coleman will be there with giveaways and doing live calls into the station.
