Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter School: Flightline Upper Academy

At Lighthouse Academies, we prepare our scholars through rigorous programs that provide them with the academic, social, and cultural foundation in order to succeed in and graduate from college. We have a unique arts-infused program and discuss college starting in Kindergarten. Our unique arts-infused curriculum, emphasis on social development and integration of diverse cultural opportunities augments learning and broadens horizons.

Inclement Weather

If the Pulaski County Special School District closes due to bad weather, then our school will also close. In the event that weather conditions become hazardous during the school day, our school will follow the early dismissal policies and notification process of the PCSSD Public Schools unless we advise you to the contrary.

Seventh Graders Jordan, Elexia, and Gracie won the junior group regional competition for the National History Day contest with their Disneyland Hub Design Exhibit!

Evan McGrew

Evan McGrew
Mr. McGrew was a founding teacher at Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter School and has been a Teacher Leader Fellow and the Director of School Culture. He has almost a decade of experience as an educator and has also taught in Magnet Cove School District and the Fayetteville School District. He is a graduate of Henderson State University and a native of Mountain Pine, Arkansas.

Amanda Crowder

Ms. Crowder is a graduate of University of Arkansas at Little Rock and has been in education for over a decade as a classroom teacher, Team Leader, Department Chair, and School Improvement Coordinator. She has been a presenter at the National Middle School Conference and is a Train the Trainer for Aha Process! She is also a presenter for the Staff Development Educators in the area of Differentiated Instruction. She is National Board Certified.
