At Lighthouse Academies, we prepare our scholars through rigorous programs that provide them with the academic, social, and cultural foundation in order to succeed in and graduate from college. We have a unique arts-infused program and discuss college starting in Kindergarten. Our unique arts-infused curriculum, emphasis on social development and integration of diverse cultural opportunities augments learning and broadens horizons.

  • Attention Parents: Records Destruction, June 2019The Lighthouse Academies of Arkansas will be destroying the unclaimed Special Education records for students who exited Special Education Services in this district between 2013 and 2014 on or after August 31, 2014. Lighthouse Academies will be sending out letters of notification to parents/guardians or former students last known address. If you do not receive a letter and think that you might have records that would be available for claiming, please contact the Special Education Office.

  • Substitute applications are available in the office at Flightline.   Please bring your birth certificate, Social security card, driver's license, transcripts and any credentials.

  • Refer a friend to Flightline Upper Academy and get a free personalized LHA sweater if they enroll.



  • 1st - Wolves council begins selling candy grams for Valentine's Day
  • 2nd - Assembly for Pennies for Patient's @ Town hall
  • 5th - Pennies for Patient's is officially started (scholars will be collecting change for childhood leukemia)
  • 9th - Interim's are issued
  • 14th - Valentine's Day
  • 16th - Valentine's Day Parties
  • 16th - Mardi Gras Dance 6 pm-8 pm (scholars may NOT be left at school until the dance)
  • 19th - NO SCHOOL (Presidents Day)
  • 28th - Special Wednesday celebrating Black History Month Program
  • 28th- Board of Directors Meeting @12:30pm

Evan McGrew

Mr. McGrew was a founding teacher at Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter School and has been a Teacher Leader Fellow and the Director of School Culture. He has almost a decade of experience as an educator and has also taught in Magnet Cove School District and the Fayetteville School District. He is a graduate of Henderson State University and a native of Mountain Pine, Arkansas.
Director of Teacher Leadership

Ralph Isaiah Cosio

Mr. Cosio has a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a Master of Science degree in School Leadership, Management, and Administration degree from the University of Central Arkansas. He is a certified teacher in Social Studies and has a P-12 Building Administrator license. Mr. Cosio was a teacher for four years in the Jacksonville Lighthouse Charter School District and has served in administration for the last three years as a Director of Teacher Leadership and Principal for Jacksonville Lighthouse College Preparatory Academy. This is Mr. Cosios 7th year in education. In addition to his work in the school, he has served as a volunteer coach for volleyball and soccer. He believes that in order for every scholar to experience success, we must show them we care, hold them to expectations beyond their personal standards, and support scholars at every level to help them to achieve to their highest potential.
