Principal

Amanda Koth

Ms. Koth received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Ball State University. Ms. Koth recently graduated from her Alma Mater in May with her M.A. in Educational Supervision and Leadership. She has been with ILCS for the past four years as the Director of Instruction. Ms. Koth is looking forward to seeing ILCS grow under her leadership by providing an environment where are all students are valued and provided the opportunity for success both socially and academically. One day, after being a successful principal, she aspires to continue her love for urban education by becoming a supervising teacher of pre-service teachers as well as a professor for Ball State University.
Director of Instruction, Lower Academy

Steven Harrison

Mr. Harrison has previously taught 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade. This is his fifth year at ILCS. Mr. Harrison received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Ball State University. He plans on becoming a principal after he obtains his license.

Karen White

Mrs. White received her B.S. in Elementary Education from St. Joseph's College (Rensselaer, IN). She graduated from the University of Indianapolis with her M.A. in Educational Leadership. This is her first year as a DOI with ILCS but her 12th year in education. Previously she has been a Director of Curriculum and a classroom teacher in another charter school . She is looking forward to working with the high energy and passionate teachers of ILCS and helping our scholars work hard, get smart, and graduate from college.
Director of School Culture

Kevin Butler

Mr. Butler received his B.A. in Social Work from Wilberforce University. Mr. Butler is in his third year at Indianapolis Lighthouse and his second year as Director of School Culture. Previously he was a Title 1 Teacher. He is working towards his Masters Degree in School Counseling.
