Principal

Ryan Gall

Ryan Gall
Mr. Gall served as the Director of Instruction for ILCS. Prior to that, as a Program Facilitator and Teacher for the Indianapolis Public Schools, he created and implemented the BELIEVE Academy middle school program. Mr. Gall has over six years of teaching experience including both middle school and elementary school. At KIPP Indianapolis, Mr. Gall not only taught fifth grade math, but also designed curriculum maps, served as math department chair and created programs to foster culture, academics and character. He started his career as a Teach For America Corps member teaching in Detroit, MI. Mr. Gall holds a BA in Business and English from Alma College as well as a MA in Elementary Education from Wayne State University.

Rudy Cope

Rudy Cope Headshot
Mr. Cope grew up in Crawfordsville, Indiana and graduated from Crawfordsville High School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University in public relations and journalism. Mr. Cope worked in the private sector in sales for two years before finding his calling in education. In 2001, he accepted an admissions position at Wabash College, one of the top fifty liberal arts colleges in the country (as consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report). He served at Wabash for six years, where he recruited hundreds of students. Mr. Cope then went to Memphis, Tennessee, to become Director of College Counseling at Lausanne Collegiate School, one of the top private schools in the Memphis area, where he served for three years. In that capacity, Mr. Cope worked with students to assist them in gaining admission to dozens of the top colleges and universities in the country. Mr. Cope has been active in service to his church, civic groups and professional associations and the Montgomery County Economic Redevelopment Commission. In his spare time, he is an avid reader, blogger, fisherman and golfer.
Director of School Culture

Kevin Butler

Mr. Butler received his B.A. in Social Work from Wilberforce University. Mr. Butler is in his third year at Indianapolis Lighthouse and his second year as Director of School Culture. Previously he was a Title 1 Teacher. He is working towards his Masters Degree in School Counseling.
