Inclement Weather Policy

If the Pine Bluff School District closes due to bad weather, then our school will also close. In the event that weather conditions become hazardous during the school day, our school will follow the early dismissal policies and notification process of the Pine Bluff Public Schools unless we advise you to the contrary.

PB Firefighter Demo Thermal Imaging Camera
A Pine Bluff Firefighter explains and demonstrates the use of a thermal imaging camera to our 2nd graders during a visit last Tuesday afternoon.

Principal

Sandra Smith-Jones

Principal
Sandra Smith-Jones received her Bachelor’s Degree from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Sandra’s experience covers both Pre-K – 12 and college level as an educator and administrator. She has been in education for over twenty years. She was appointed as an assistant professor at Hampton University and served as the school’s Coordinator of Graduate Education Programs. Sandra has taught English in Virginia public schools and at the college level as an adjunct professor. Sandra served as assistant principal with Accomack County Public Schools in rural Virginia.

Quawana Bryant

Mrs. Bryant
Mrs. Bryant was a founding Kindergarten teacher and the Teacher Leader Fellow for the Lower Academy of Pine Bluff Lighthouse Charter School. She has almost a decade of experience as an educator. Prior to joining Lighthouse, Mrs. Bryant was the Curriculum Specialist at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Child Enrichment. She is a graduate of Henderson State University with a degree in Education.
