PB Firefighter Demo Thermal Imaging Camera
A Pine Bluff Firefighter explains and demonstrates the use of a thermal imaging camera to our 2nd graders during a visit last Tuesday afternoon.

Director of Academics and Operations

Brent Mitchell

Brent received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 2000. He has a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Harding University. Mr. Mitchell has also completed his Educational Specialist Degree from the University of Central Arkansas and is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Educational Leadership at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. With experience in program initiatives, optimizing the learning environment, staff development, and promoting a safe, student focused environment and almost ten years of school leadership experience.
Director of Teacher Leadership Upper Academy

Toluwalogo Daramola

Ms. Daramoula grew up in Los Angeles, CA and her family is from the African Country, Nigeria. Tolu is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine and was a 2011 Teach for America Corps member in the Mississippi Delta at KIPP Delta Elementary Literacy Academy in Helena, Arkansas. She served as the founding Pre-Kindergarten teacher and Program Director and the Grade Level Chair for the Kindergarten program. She is part of the Rural School Leadership Academy cohort with Teach for America and is a Lead 21 Walton Leader with Arkansas Tech. After achieving her childhood goal of being a teacher, she realized how crucial it was to foster our scholar’s dreams. Her educational philosophy is that every child deserves the opportunity to have a quality education, and they should be able to turn their dreams into achievable goals.
Director of Teacher Leadership Lower Academy

Quawana Bryant

Mrs. Bryant
Mrs. Bryant was a founding Kindergarten teacher and the Teacher Leader Fellow for the Lower Academy of Pine Bluff Lighthouse Charter School. She has almost a decade of experience as an educator. Prior to joining Lighthouse, Mrs. Bryant was the Curriculum Specialist at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Child Enrichment Center. She is a graduate of Henderson State University with a degree in Education.
