Jamila MacArthur

Ms. MacArthur grew up in Clinton and Norman, Oklahoma. She joined Teach For America and moved to Los Angeles in 2005 where she taught for four years as an elementary classroom teacher in South Los Angeles. During her teaching commitment at TFA, she also served as a summer Faculty Advisor and Curriculum Coordinator for Grades 3-5. She then served as a Math Intervention Specialist for secondary math teachers and an Instructional Support Director coordinating professional development at KIPP LA. Most recently she served as Assistant Principal at KIPP Los Angeles Preparatory Academy. Ms. MacArthur holds a BA from the University of Oklahoma, an MA in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University, and an MA in Educational Administrative Leadership from California State University.

Sarah Luna

Ms. Sarah Luna has taught in both Tulsa Public Schools as well as in early childhood centers in Tulsa for the past nine years. She began her career with Lighthouse Academies during its founding year in 2012 as a kindergarten teacher. Her work with TLCS has included teaching, coaching soccer, team lead, and Teacher Leader Fellow. Ms. Luna holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from the Oklahoma State University. She is currently working towards her M.S. in Education Leadership.

Lane Clegg

Ms. Clegg is originally from Detroit, Michigan. After earning a BA from Miami University, she joined Teach for America and moved to Tulsa. In Tulsa, she taught Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten with Tulsa Public Schools. In 2012, she joined a group of teachers in helping to found Lighthouse Academies in Tulsa. As a founding staff member, she taught 1st, 2nd, and 6th grade at Tulsa Lighthouse Charter School. As a 6th grade teacher, over 80% of her students scored proficient on the OCCT. In addition to teaching, she acted as a Teacher Leader Fellow during the 2014-2015 school year - coaching other teachers and taking on various leadership responsibilities. She is currently in the process of earning her MA in Education Administration from Teachers College at Columbia University in New York.
