Lighthouse Academies of Northwest Indiana is deeply saddened by the sudden death of distinguished colleague, coach and friend, Marvin Rea, who passed away suddenly following a car accident on Tuesday, December 5th.  Mr. Rea served as the Regional Operations Manager for Lighthouse Academies and as the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Lighthouse College Prep Academy.  He previously was a founding staff member, athletic director and head boys basketball coach at Thea Bowman Academy where he led the boys to two state championships. Our hearts go out to his wife Kimberly, his sons Marvin Jr. and Nicholas, and the entire Rea family.  Counselors from New Horizons have been on site at Lighthouse College Prep Academy today and will continue to be on hand as needed for the foreseeable future.  Details regarding services will be provided when they are available.
